Hello, I'm Shloka Gupta, an undergraduate pursuing Forensic Science at Mumbai University. As an ICSE student at Loyola School, Jamshedpur, I achieved 93% in PCB ISC board exams. I have always been passionate about exploring diverse fields. Beyond my academic pursuits, I am known for my adaptability and creativity. I've tutored since school, refining my teaching skills and sharing knowledge.   Unit 1. Plant Life

  The leaf

  ●External structure

  ●Insectivorous plants. Need for modification with an example

  ●Vegetative propagation in leaf

   

  The flower

  ●Parts, structure and function of each whorl

  ●Pollination: An idea about agents of cross-pollination (wind, water and insects – their examples).

  ●Fertilisation: process in simple terms

  ●Formation of fruit – the fate of each part (whorl) of the flower after fertilisation

  ●Parts of fruits: dry and fleshy, examples of dry and fleshy parts; parts of the pericarp of fleshy fruits (epicarp, mesocarp, endocarp) and function of each part

  ●Seed – parts (cotyledon, embryo: Radicle, plumule) and types (monocot, dicot)

• Recomended Audience:

  The audience of this course is students of Grade-6  from ICSE Board. All the Chapters are well designed and its coverage as per latest curriculum released by the board. Still Student have complete flexibility to enhance or modify the course coverage during the course of learning process with Teacher. We are expecting that students of Grade-6 should drive their classes with Teacher as per chapters mentioned and also as per syllabus of their school and applicable School district or Board.

• Pre-Requisite Requirement:

  For attending this course, prior knowledge of Grade-5 Science  is required, this course assumes that students have prior experience with all the topics of Science of Grade-5 . This is not an Introductory class for absolute beginners on Biology   of Grade-6 . So therefore,  Participants should already be familiar with the basic concepts..
